IMAGINE YOUR FLORIDA WEDDING ON ONE OF ITS GORGEOUS BEACHES
Pass-A-Grille
Pass-A-Grille Beach just might be the best kept secret of St. Pete. A romantic place to stay, the beach is one of nature’s finest, providing completely unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico. The perfect place for a Florida wedding, Pass-A-Grille sits at the southern tip of St. Pete Beach, providing seclusion from the hustle and bustle of the busier beaches to the north and home to some of the wealthiest residents of Florida.
Sunset Beach
Sunset Beach offers seclusion and supreme romance for your beach side Florida wedding. This island is one mile long and mostly residential, so you can escape the high-rise hotel atmosphere. Anchored by mounds of sea oats, rocks and jetties, this beach has divine elements for your sunset beach wedding. The covered beach clubhouse can be rented for the day/evening and makes a nice venue for hosting a beach wedding reception, or as an alternative plan in the event of rain. Several boardwalks connect the mainland to the sand, which make perfect walkways for you to make a grand entrance.
Anna Maria Island
About an hour and a half drive from the Tampa airport and boasting seven miles of pristine beach, the island’s natural beauty is a testament to the restricted development code which states that no building be built over three stories tall. An Anna Maria Island wedding will appeal to those looking to detach from the hustle and bustle. You won’t find hotels, fast food, wi-fi hotspots or chain establishments on the island. Only locally owned establishments running the gamut from shabby to chic. The island is filled with beach homes and condos for rent, some of which are right on the sand.
Siesta Key
A quaint beach town at its finest. Siesta Key is known for having the whitest and finest sand in the world and for hosting Sarasota beach weddings every day of the year. Consider you Florida wedding on one of it's most well know beaches!
Lido Key
Lido Key is just north of Siesta Key and a a half mile south of St. Armand’s Circle which is a well-known strip for shopping and dining. Lido Key is a narrow beach surrounded by tall pine trees and ground vegetation with picnic areas throughout the park. Follow winding paths in the park to a quiet spot on the beach for your ceremony. Consider it for the best of both worlds.
Clearwater Beach
Five blocks north of the famous Pier 60 is Clearwater Beach. Avalon Street access has two large lots for parking convenience and several sand dune entrances with natural vegetation and plush white powdery sand. Just north of Mandalay Beach Park, many locals and visitors come to this location to take advantage of the clear water, cozy sand, popular bars and restaurants and beyond stunning sunsets.
Treasure Island
Just north of St Pete Beach is Treasure Island, which has the widest beach on Florida’s west coast, boasting 3 miles of white sand bordered by the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. You can walk along the shoreline or take a stroll on the Treasure Island Beach Trail, a mile-long walkway along the east side of the beach. The trail provides easy access to the hotels, bars and restaurants that embody the heart of Treasure Island’s ocean front hotel district. At the public beach access, it's quite a haul out to the water for you and your guests, making your wedding more physical than you may have envisioned. For a bit more seclusion and ease of access, head to the southern tip of Treasure Island to experience one of our favorite beaches for weddings-Sunset Beach.
South Beach on Miami Beach
The infamous South Beach is best known for its glamorous scene, celebrity-chef eateries and star-filled nightlife. By day, however South Beach comes alive with beach-goers and other outdoor enthusiasts. Ocean Drive, known for its well-preserved art deco architecture, and outdoor cafes offer a view of the stunning beaches with equally stunning bathing beauties. John Pennekamp Beach
While the Florida Keys are not known for long, intense beaches, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo is known as the Best Beach for snorkeling and diving in Florida. Endless protected miles of the Atlantic Ocean are host to magical mangrove swamps and dazzling coral reefs. The undersea state park offers a variety of guided diving options, catamaran sailing for snorkeling enthusiasts and glass-bottom boats for those who want to stay above the water. Furthermore, sunsets in Key Largo are notably beautiful and not to be missed. Fortunately, if you are more of a morning person, you can catch the sunrise on this beautiful Florida Beach. Or, just cross the road to catch both in one of the few places in the world where it possible to catch both beachside on the same day.
